Презентация к уроку английского языка по теме: «Степени сравнения прилагательных» Цель: создание иллюстративно-информационного пособия, используемого на уроках английского языка при изучении темы «Степени сравнения прилагательных». Задачи: поддержать интерес к изучению английского языка; введение новой грамматической темы; тренировка учащихся по теме; развитие навыков устной речи, чтения и аудирования; расширение кругозора учащихся; развитие познавательного интереса; развитие способностей к логическому мышлению, развитие догадки; развитие у учащихся внимания, веры в себя, в свои способности, чтобы дети раскованно, с удовольствием говорили на английском языке.

Имена прилагательные в английском языке имеют три степени сравнения:

положительную (the Positive Degree),

сравнительную (the Comparative Degree) превосходную (the Superlative Degree).

Степени сравнения односложных прилагательных образуются путем прибавления суффиксов к прилагательным в положительной степени: в сравнительной степени прибавляется суффикс -еr , в превосходной степени -суффикс - est .

В написании удваивается конечная согласная буква, если односложное прилагательное оканчивается на одну согласную с предшествующим кратким гласным звуком:

hot- hotter- the hottest

big - bigger – the biggest

fat – fatter- the fattest

sunny – sunnier – the sunniest

happy – happier – the happiest

hungry – hungrier – the hungriest

messy – messier – the messiest

dirty – dirtier – the dirtiest

Конечная гласная е (немое е ) опускается перед фиксами - еr , -est :

larg e - larg er – the larg est

white - whiter – the whitest

nice – nicer -the nicest

wide – wider – the widest

late – later – the latest

Многосложные прилагательные образуют степени сравнения путём прибавления специальных слов к прилагательному в положительной степени:

в сравнительной степени прибавляется слово more , в превосходной степени слово most .

• В английском языке 2 степени сравнения:

сравнительная

превосходная

• Они образуются двумя способами:

суффиксальным и составным.

• Сравнительная степень используется для сравнения двух или более предметов (понятий).

• Превосходная степень используется для выделения одного предмета (понятия) из всех ему подобных.

• При сравнении двух предметов (понятий) перед названием второго употребляется союз than (чем) .

The Volga is longer than the Don.

• Перед прилагательным в превосходной степени всегда ставится артикль the .

The Nile is the longest river in the world.

Суффиксальный способ образования степеней сравнения

• В сравнительной степени к прилагательному (наречию) присоединяется суффикс –er ,

а в превосходной – est .

• Так образуют степени сравнения все односложные и многие двусложные прилагательные и наречия.

big – bigg er – the bigg est

narrow – narrow er – the narrow est

Особенности написания

• Конечная гласная –е не удваивается при присоединении суффиксов –er и –est .

safe – safer – the safest

• Конечные согласные b, p, d, t, g, k удваиваются, если перед ними стоит краткий ударный гласный.

big – bigger – the biggest

Составной способ образования степеней сравнения

• В сравнительной степени перед прилагательному (наречию) ставится слово more , в превосходной - the most .
• Так образуют степени сравнения все прилагательные и наречия, состоящие из более чем 2 слогов.

Исключения

good – better – the best

bad – worse – the worst

much – more – the most

many – more – the most

little – less – the least

few – less – the least

• good – better – the best bad – worse – the worst much – more – the most many – more – the most little – less – the least few – less – the least

Особые случаи

• Прилагательное old

old – elder – the eldest (если речь идет о родственниках, членах одной семьи)

old – older – the oldest (во всех остальных случаях)

My sister is 2 years elder than me.

Nick is the oldest in his group.

Особые случаи

• Прилагательное far образует степени сравнения двумя способами:

far – farther – the farthest (если речь идет о перемещении в пространстве)

The farthest point of our trip is Paris.

far – further – the furthest (если речь идет о развитии событий, о времени)
